Tim Crowe has over 14 years of professional work experience. Tim started their career in 2005 as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Thomson. In 2007, they joined Sigma Designs as a Senior Software Engineer, where they implemented Linux-based content protection link layer using DTCP-IP protocol and designed test cases, methods, and unit test plans. In 2013, they worked as a Senior Software Dev. Engineer at Engage Communication, where they developed embedded software for a Hardware Security Module (HSM). Tim then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Canopus-us. The following year, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Verizon, working on OnCue set top platform firmware. After that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Applied Materials, where they optimized and debugged device drivers and communication software on embedded Linux platform. Tim then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Kontron, where they developed kernel and driver development for custom Board Support Package (BSP's). In 2015, they worked as a Staff Software Engineer at SanDisk, where they were responsible for security FW features, diagnostic features, and ASIC verification. From 2017-2019, they worked at Renesas Electronics as a Security Firmware Engineer, where they developed and tested HAL/Framework software layers for Renesas Synergy Platform IoT product. Tim then joined Cornami, Inc. in 2019 as a Senior Software Engineer.
Tim Crowe received their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Math and Science emphasis) with a Minor in Math from California State University, Chico. Tim also completed coursework in Cryptography and Network Security from UCSC Extension, as well as Embedded Firmware Essentials from UCSC Silicon Valley Extension.
