Kimberly Barton is an accomplished Litigation Attorney at Cordell & Cordell since July 2023, bringing extensive legal experience from previous roles including Contract Attorney at the Nebraska Judicial Branch, Associate Attorney at GordenLaw, and VOCA Project Attorney at the Nebraska Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence. Kimberly served as Staff Attorney for the REACH Initiative at Legal Aid of Nebraska and gained hands-on experience as a Student Guardian ad Litem in the Children's Justice Clinic at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Additional legal internships include positions at Project Harmony Child Protection Center and the Rural Summer Legal Corps with Legal Aid of Nebraska. Kimberly's earlier professional experience includes a significant tenure at Hogan Lovells focusing on diversity and inclusion. Academically, Kimberly holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, an Executive Certificate in Strategic Diversity & Inclusion Management from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.
