Rich Tula has over 30 years of experience in the life sciences industry, holding various leadership positions. Rich is currently the President of Copia Scientific, where they offer expertise in liquid handling, laboratory automation, microscopy, flow cytometry, and detection technologies. Additionally, they provide asset management services for the life science industry.

Prior to joining Copia Scientific, Rich Tula was the President and Owner of The LabSquad, LLC, where they offered service and maintenance options for laboratory equipment. Rich ensured optimal performance through periodic maintenance and repair services.

Before that, Rich Tula served as President of Biodirect, Inc., a provider of strategic technology solutions. Rich aimed to minimize risk, reduce expenditure, and increase operational efficiency for clients.

As Vice President and Partner at Biomatic Technologies, Rich Tula brought sales and service to a technology validation company. Rich also developed asset and service management/tracking services and managed all aspects of technology and service sales.

Rich Tula began their career as a Biomedical Technology Engineer in the U.S. Army, serving from 1987 to 1996.

In their previous role as an International Marketing Manager at Comdisco - Laboratory & Scientific Group, Rich Tula managed capital equipment sales to biotech and pharmaceutical accounts. Rich also handled strategic planning and asset management services, including the disposition of off-lease systems.

Rich Tula attended Pierce College from 1985 to 1991, where they studied Biomedical Engineering. Rich did not earn a degree from this institution. Following their time at Pierce College, they enrolled in the US Army Medical Equipment & Optical School from 1989 to 2011. During this period, they obtained a BME (Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering) degree with a specialization in Biomedical Engineering.
