David Mathenge has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting roles. David is currently a Financial Reporting Analyst at Copia Global, where they are involved in financial analysis, budgeting, planning, financial modeling, and cost optimization. David has achieved a reduction of direct costs by 40% and implemented automation for key reports.

Prior to their current role, David was the Head of Finance and Accounting at Alive and Kicking Kenya. David was responsible for financial management and accounting functions.

Before that, David worked as an Overall Accountant at Copia Kenya, where they were involved in financial reporting, ERP implementation, tax planning, and bank liaison. David achieved improvements in client reporting systems and implemented controls and procedures to prevent financial losses.

David also worked as an Overall Accountant at Nature Systems Kenya Limited, where they handled financial reporting, cost accounting, cash management, and statutory compliance. David successfully completed 2012 accounts and collected outstanding debts, increasing the company's income.

In addition, David served as a Senior Accountant at Annandale East Africa Ltd, where they managed accounting transactions for multiple clients and achieved growth in the client base. David was also promoted to Head of Purchases Department.

Early in their career, David worked as an Administrative Assistant at Rusinga Island Lodge, where they were involved in day-to-day operations, inventory management, and cost reporting. David successfully reconciled stock and improved the stock system.

David Mathenge pursued a Masters in management science and engineering with a specialization in Financial Engineering from Lanzhou University of Technology, from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Commerce with an option in Finance from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa in 2012. David'searlier academic background includes earning a CPA(K) certification in Accounting from Vision Institute Of Professional Studies between 2007 and 2009.
