Drake Tilley is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the Aerospace and Defense sectors, currently serving as Director of Engineering at CoorsTek, Inc. since May 2016. Tilley has effectively managed global project teams focused on new product development as a Senior Manager, overseeing significant projects such as the successful introduction of a lightweight armor product generating $13M annually. Previous roles at Abengoa included General Manager of Research Development USA, where Tilley managed an R&D team and an $8M budget, and Research and Development Project Manager, achieving objectives for government-funded technical projects. Tilley's earlier experience includes project management at Water & Power Technologies and engineering roles with a focus on product design and compliance. Tilley holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from Colorado School of Mines and completed executive education in Innovation and Technology Management at Georgetown University.
