Sharon Herbert serves as the Director of Clinical Operations at CooperVision since April 2024, a leading company in the contact lens industry. Prior experience includes holding the position of Director of Global Clinical Operations at Santen Inc. from July 2019 to April 2024, where responsibilities encompassed managing global medical device studies in ophthalmology. Sharon Herbert has also worked as Associate Director, Clinical Operations-Device, and served as Sr. Clinical Study Manager-Medical Device at Santen. Additional roles include Clinical Project Manager at Beaufort CRO and Senior Medical Research Manager at NAMSA. Earlier career positions were held as Clinical Trial Manager at Meridian Bioscience and Medpace, and Division Manager of Business Development at the South African Medical Research Council. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Genetics from Imperial College London and an MBA from the University of Cape Town.
