Mary Griffin

Mary Griffin is a Senior Advisor and Executive Director at the Cooperative Development Foundation since September 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Advisor in the Office of Community Affairs at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from May 2011 to August 2021, where significant contributions included leading financial inclusion policy and authoring key reports. Griffin provided advisory support during a secondment to CGAP at the World Bank in 2020, focusing on consumer protection in low-income countries. Previous roles include Attorney-Advisor at the Department of the Treasury and Director of Public Policy at the National Cooperative Business Association, where advocacy efforts resulted in enhanced cooperative funding and law changes. Early in the career at Consumer Reports, Griffin directed policy advocacy on various consumer finance and regulatory issues.
