Powell Draper serves as Associate Principal at Buro Happold since January 2024, while also holding the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art since 2016. Draper has previously held principal roles at Werner Sobek and Entuitive, along with a Visiting Associate Professorship at Princeton University and a directorial position at schlaich bergermann partner sbp. Additionally, Draper has experience as an adjunct faculty member at both Columbia University and Johns Hopkins University, and served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and Master's Degree in Structural Engineering from Princeton University, a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor's Degree in History from Wake Forest University.
