Nicholas Kram Mendelsohn currently serves as a 711 Law Clerk in the Special Prosecutions, Complex Homicide & Gang Crime Unit at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office since May 2023. Nicholas has been an Article Editor and Associate at the Wisconsin Law Review since June 2022. Previous experience includes a Summer Law Clerk position with Governor Tony Evers in 2022, and various roles including Deputy Director of Constituent Services, Constituent Services Coordinator, and Legislative Intern under Hon. Mary M. Cheh at the Council of the District of Columbia from 2017 to 2021. Nicholas also held legislative intern positions in the U.S. House of Representatives for Representatives Katherine Clark and Niki Tsongas and was involved with the Truck Safety Coalition and the Urban Education Leaders Internship Program at DCPS. Educational qualifications consist of a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from American University, and a Bachelor's degree with a focus on Communications, Legal Foundations, Economics, and Government from the same institution. Nicholas completed secondary education at John Burroughs School.
