Vyas Sekar is a distinguished academic and industry professional with extensive experience in computer science. Currently serving as a Professor at Carnegie Mellon University since January 2014, Vyas has progressed through the ranks from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor. Vyas holds the position of Chief Scientist at Conviva, and co-founded Rockfish Data in August 2022. Additionally, Vyas acts as an advisor for multiple companies, including Armorblox, Scala Computing, and Linear (Imparo Technologies Pvt Ltd). Previously, Vyas contributed to Stony Brook University as an Assistant Professor and worked at Intel Labs as a Research Scientist. Vyas earned a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a BTech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
