Domingo Borrego has a strong background in accounting and auditing. Domingo started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in 2002, where they worked as an Audit Manager. In this role, they managed manufacturing, technology, innovation, and oilfield service engagements, with experience in 404 testing. Domingo also worked on multi-location audits and coordinated with teams from Germany, London, and the USA.
In 2011, Borrego joined Grant Thornton LLP as an Audit Senior Associate, where they focused on understanding the nature of clients' businesses, coordinating audits, identifying potential risks, and establishing audit procedures. Domingo reviewed financial statements and ensured compliance with US-GAAP and other accounting standards.
Afterwards, Borrego moved to RSM US LLP in 2012, where they continued to work as an Audit Senior Associate. Domingo conducted audits, reviewed financial statements, tested internal controls, and verified key internal controls of companies, all in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
In 2016, Borrego joined Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. as an Assistant Controller. In this role, they managed and mentored a team of seven staff members, oversaw accounting operations (including AP, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Accruals, Revenue Recognition, and Expenses), and ensured intercompany reconciliation for the US, Canada, and Latin America.
In 2019, Borrego joined SOAProjects, Inc as a Technical Accounting Manager. Domingo held this position until 2020, during which they managed technical accounting matters for the company.
From 2020 to 2022, Borrego worked at Turntide Technologies as a Corporate Controller. In this role, they were responsible for corporate accounting and financial reporting.
Most recently, in 2022, Borrego joined Conversica as a Corporate Controller.
Domingo Borrego completed their Bachelor Degree in Public Accountancy from Catholic University Andres Bello, studying from 1997 to 2002. In 2005, they obtained the certification of Certified Public Accountant from the institution Chartered Accountant in Venezuela. In 2006, they enrolled in Oxford House College where they pursued an Upper high Intermediate course in English as a Second Language. Later, in 2010 to 2011, Domingo enrolled in Kaplan Institute to take an ESL - Business English course and TOEFL.
