Stephanie Iyayi

Legal Counsel & Director of Privacy at Convergent Risks

Stephanie Iyayi has worked in the legal field since 2011. Stephanie began their career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as a Knowledge Management Executive, where they were responsible for drafting client communications and maintaining the team's knowledge management systems. In 2013, they became a Trainee Solicitor at Pinsent Masons, where they were involved with the review and amending of Global Framework Agreements and associated Statements of Works. Stephanie then moved to AXA in 2014 as a Trainee Solicitor (secondee), where they assisted the business in appropriately minimising its legal risks while still achieving its commercial objectives. In 2015, they joined Hunton & Williams LLP as an Associate, where they advised multinational clients on compliance with EU data protection law requirements. Finally, in 2017, they became Legal Counsel & Director of Privacy at Convergent Risks, where they advised the company and other members of staff on a variety of legal topics that relate to their business sector and the services they offer.

Stephanie Iyayi completed their Legal Practice Course (LPC+), Corporate Route at The College of Law, London in 2011, as well as their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the same institution. In 2010, they completed their Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) at The College of Law, Birmingham. From 2005 to 2009, they attended the University of Birmingham, where they earned a BA Hons in Economic and Social Stephanie'story. Stephanie began their education in 2003 at Blessed William Howard Sixth Form.
