Matteo Polese

Director, Strategy Execution at ConvaTec

Matteo Polese has extensive work experience in various leadership roles at different companies. Matteo is currently the Director of Strategy Execution at Convatec, where they lead the Strategy and Execution team globally. Their responsibilities include formulating strategic plans and prioritizing key initiatives. Prior to this, Matteo was the Commercial Director of Global Transformation at Convatec, focusing on the organization's commercial strategy.

Before joining Convatec, Matteo worked at Air Liquide as the Business Director for Europe, leading a large business transformation program across various industries. Matteo also served as the Sales and Marketing Director and Member of the Board for Air Liquide Healthcare in Italy, where they developed growth opportunities and implemented sales strategies.

Matteo's experience also includes serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at bioKryo Italy, advising and defining strategies for the newly acquired company. Matteo began their career at VitalAire as the Director of Sales in Canada, where they reshaped the sales team and introduced innovative service solutions.

Throughout their career, Matteo has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a focus on strategy execution and business growth.

Matteo Polese has a diverse education history. In 1994 to 2000, they attended Politecnico di Milano and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Matteo later pursued further education at Accademia Navale from 2000 to 2002, where they obtained the degree of Guardiamarina with a focus on Armi Navali. In 2004, Matteo completed an Executive Master's program at INSEAD. More recently, in 2021, they obtained a certification as a Certified SAFe® 5 Lean Portfolio Manager from Scaled Agile Inc. Additionally, they received the certification in Lean Portfolio Management, Lean Budgeting, and Lean Portfolio Implementation Plan from the same institution. Matteo also attended the American School of Milan from 1980 to 1989, although no degree or field of study is specified.
