Vilhelm Sævarsson

Vilhelm Sævarsson has a strong background in software engineering and game development. Vilhelm began their career in 2006 at CCP, where they worked as an Eve Graphics Programmer, implementing alterations to the GPU particle systems and advocating for improvements to the pipeline. Vilhelm also held the role of Senior Programmer, where they created various tools and integrated PySide with Stackless Python.

In 2014, Vilhelm founded their own company, Low Level Games ehf, focusing on game development and contracting work. During this time, they worked on a programming puzzle game and developed programming sandboxes for scripting languages.

In 2015, Vilhelm joined Autodesk as a Senior Software Engineer II, working on the Unity Engine for the Tinkerplay mobile application. Vilhelm later collaborated with Mattel on the rebranding of the application as Thingmaker Design.

Vilhelm Sævarsson pursued their higher education starting from 1999 to 2000 at Full Sail University, where they completed an Associate of Science degree in Computer Animation. In 2000 to 2001, they continued their education at Full Sail University and obtained another Associate of Science degree, this time in Game Design. Following this, from 2003 to 2006, Sævarsson attended Háskóli Íslands (University of Iceland) and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
