Dimitar Petarchev, LLM, MFin, CIPP/E, serves as Senior Legal Counsel for Eastern Europe, Northern Ireland, and Africa at ContourGlobal since December 2016, bringing extensive experience in the energy sector along with expertise in M&A, financing, and litigation across various industries. Prior to this role, Dimitar practiced as an Attorney-at-law at Law Firm Kolcheva, Smilenov, Koev and Partners from March 2007 to December 2016, focusing on energy law, litigation, and consumer protection. Dimitar's career began with an internship in the Legal Department of the Ministry of Education and Science in Bulgaria and as a Junior Associate at Lex Consult Law Firm. Dimitar holds a Master's degree in Law from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of National and World Economy, and completed a program at the Academy of European Law in Trier, Germany.
