Joel Silva serves as the Head of Mechanical Design and Hardware Development for Driveline & Electrification at Continental Engineering Services, leading a multidisciplinary team of 11 engineers and managing technical projects for inverter systems. With extensive experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Joel specializes in static and dynamic simulations for Electric Vehicle components, validating their structural integrity through various analyses. Prior to this role, Joel worked at Bosch Portugal as a Mechanical Designer, developing mechanical concepts for major automotive brands and conducting finite element simulations. Additionally, Joel contributed as a Fellow Researcher focused on advanced car multimedia solutions and served as an Invited Assistant Professor at the University of Minho. Joel is a co-founder of 3Dadd - Impressão 3D and holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Universidade do Minho, alongside additional international experience from the Technical University of Liberec.
