John Helal Zahir has over 20 years of experience in engineering and design roles. John Helal worked at Continental Controls Corporation from 2000 to 2009, where they started as a Senior ElectroMechanical Design Engineer and was later promoted to VP of Engineering/Senior Principal Engineer. Their responsibilities included leading and managing a team of engineers and creating project plans to ensure project goals were met. John Helal designed and developed various products such as fuel control valves, fuel metering Venturi, air-to-fuel ratio controllers, and electronic voiced actuator gas carburetors. Prior to this, they had worked at San Diego State University as an FEA/FEM Analyst/Designer, where they analyzed and resolved structural analysis engineering challenges using Pro-Engineer.
John Helal Zahir attended San Diego State University from 1996 to 2001, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering as well as an Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering. John Helal also obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt from Progressive Edge at an unknown time.
