Marcel Wassink has a long history of working in various roles in the healthcare and technology industry. Marcel began their career in 2000 as the Chairman of NTC Dutch School Vienna. In 2002, they took on the role of Executive Vice President and CEO at Philips. In 2008, they became the Vice President of Healthcare EMEA at Nuance Communications. In 2014, they co-founded Telecats Austria, where they worked on speech recognition technology. Marcel also became the General Manager of NDSC Europe that same year. In 2015, they co-founded NDSC - ESR iGuide, and introduced the product into the EMEA market. In 2018, they became a Venture Partner at NLC - The Healthtech Venture Builder. In 2021, they joined the Advisory Board of AiSentia. Lastly, they have been a Business Development Executive at contextflow since 2017.
Marcel Wassink began their educational journey in 1977, completing their VWO at Spieringshoek in 1983. Marcel then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Delft University of Technology, which they completed in 1988. Marcel then furthered their education by studying Spanish Language and Literature at Don Quijote Salamanca, Spain from 1989 to 1990. In 2007, they received their MBA in Healthcare IT from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
