Bastien Bessiere has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles in the field of software engineering and medical imaging. Bastien is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at ContentSquare since 2018. Prior to that, they held the same role at GE Healthcare from 2015 to 2018, where they were part of the Cloud AV Department. In this role, they focused on developing a Software Development Kit (SDK) for medical imaging applications that run on web environments. Bastien's responsibilities included designing, prototyping, and implementing front-end components of the SDK, which enabled users to load, display, and manipulate DICOM images on web applications.

Before joining GE Healthcare, Bastien worked as a Software Engineer at MATIS from 2013 to 2015. Bastien also completed an internship as an Intern at GE Healthcare in 2013 as part of their graduation project in medical imaging. During this internship, they implemented a C++ program for 3D/2D image registration in interventional radiology.

Bastien gained further research and technical experience through their roles as a Graduate Exchange Student at the Department of Computer Science, Purdue University from 2012 to 2013, and as a Research Assistant in Scientific Computing, Visualization, and Image Processing at the Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute, University of Utah from 2011 to 2012. In their research assistant role, Bastien worked on various aspects of medical imaging, including 3D image processing, image registration, image segmentation, image atlas construction, diffusion tensor estimation, and fibertracking. Bastien extensively utilized ITK and VTK libraries for their research projects.

Bastien started their educational journey at CPE Lyon, where they pursued a degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, and Computer Science. Their specialization areas included Image Processing, Mathematical & Computer Tools Modeling, Mathematical Optimization, and Image Synthesis. Bastien completed their studies at CPE Lyon from 2007 to 2011.

Bastien Bessiere completed their education in a chronological order. Bastien started by obtaining a French high school diploma in Sciences from Immaculée Conception High School in 2007. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, and Computer Engineering from CPE Lyon, which they completed in 2011. In 2012, Bastien enrolled at Purdue University and completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science in 2013.
