Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical and firmware engineer with a strong background in developing educational technology solutions. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris is part of a cross-functional team focused on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and related devices. Prior experience includes roles as an electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, where electronics design and repair were key responsibilities, and as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, developing control systems for forestry equipment. Chris also served as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, supporting electronics courses. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
