Shontelle Baptiste has a diverse work experience spanning over several years.
Shontelle started their career as a Cello Tutor at the Joy and Andrew Lynch Music School in 2004, where they taught cello until 2011.
In 2007, they joined Duty Free Caribbean Holdings & Colombian Emeralds International as a Finance Assistant. In this role, they were responsible for bookkeeping, processing international credit card refunds, preparing reports for Accounts Receivable and Bank Reconciliation, and supporting the Assistant Finance Manager. Shontelle worked with the company until 2011.
Shontelle then joined Acadia University in 2013 in various roles. Shontelle served as a Technical Services Assistant at the Vaughn Memorial Library from September 2013 to July 2014. Additionally, they worked as a House Manager at the Wong International Center and as an Entertainment & Cultural Presentation Coordinator from April 2013 to July 2014.
Since 2015, Shontelle has been employed at Content Bloom. Shontelle initially worked as an Administrative Operations & Finance Assistant from July to December 2015. Shontelle then transitioned to the role of an Accountant from January 2016 to December 2018. Currently, they are employed as an Assistant Controller, starting in January 2019.

Shontelle Baptiste's education history begins in 1998 when they attended Harrison College, where they pursued a post-secondary education. During their time at Harrison College, they studied various subjects, including accounting, management of business, English literature, communication studies, and Caribbean studies. In 2003-2004, Shontelle earned a Performance Certificate in Grade 8 Cello from Trinity College.
After completing their education at Harrison College, Shontelle went on to attend the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus from 2005 to 2008. Here, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree with a major in Economics and Accounting. Following their undergraduate studies, Shontelle enrolled in Barbados Community College from 2008 to 2010, where they earned an associate degree with honors in Applied Arts-Music.
Shontelle's passion for music led their to pursue a Bachelor of Music degree from Acadia University between 2011 and 2014. During their time at Acadia University, their focus was on music in general. Additionally, during 2013-2014, they obtained a Performance Certificate in Grade 4 Piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music.
In recent years, Shontelle has expanded their educational pursuits beyond music. From 2019 to 2021, they attended Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) as a CPA candidate. Here, their focus of study was taxation and finance.
