Prior to this, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at Vent, a popular social networking app. Albert also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at REA Group and as a Software Consultant at DiUS. Albert has experience in web development, having worked as a Web Developer at PetHomeStay and as the Founder of Clamble. Albert also has experience in the finance sector, having worked at ANZ as a Commercial Banking Internet Banking for Business Consultant and a Commercial Banking - Small Business Servicing team member. Albert's skills include engineering, technology leadership, software development, and digital marketing.

Albert Jou completed their Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Melbourne starting in 2006 and ending in 2011. Their field of study included finance, management, marketing, biochemistry, and microbiology. In 2008, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Cornell University. Additionally, Albert obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in April 2015 and the Financial Services Reform Act (FSRA) Tier 1 certification from Deakin University in December 2012.
