Sophie Hope

Volunteer - National Youth Health Forum at Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF)

Sophie Hope is a dedicated professional currently working as an APS6 in Autism Roadmap Development within the Health and Disability Reform Section at the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care since April 2023, while also serving as a Policy Officer focused on suicide prevention. With extensive experience in the Australian Public Service, Sophie has held roles including Project Officer at the Australian Public Service Commission for the Affirmative Measure Disability Employment Project and Volunteer at the Consumers Health Forum of Australia’s National Youth Health Forum. Previous positions include Inclusion Officer at the Australian Department of Health and Coordinator for the Multicultural Youth Affairs Network. Sophie is a social entrepreneur who founded Mind the Gap and has contributed as a Reference Group Member and Co-Author at ACACIA ANU. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Science Psychology and a Graduate Certificate in Law, Science Communication, Epidemiology, and Anthropology from The Australian National University, with a Master of Neuroscience currently in progress.
