Michael Ferens has a notable career in the energy sector, having served in various leadership roles at Consumers Energy since December 2005, including Engineering Planning Lead, Director of Gas Engineering, Planning & Design, and Manager of Gas Distribution Engineering. Additionally, Michael briefly held the position of Manager of Project Management at Consumers Energy from March 2012 to October 2012. Michael Ferens obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Michigan Technological University between 1973 and 1977. Since retiring in September 2014, Michael Ferens has stepped back from professional responsibilities.
