Jeff Beattie has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as a Senior Engineer II at Consumers Energy since October 1996, specializing in Transactions & Resource Planning with expertise in Monte Carlo modeling for energy and capacity needs. Prior to this role, Jeff worked as a Nuclear Shift Supervisor at Public Service Electric & Gas from July 1989 to October 1996, overseeing operations at the Salem Generating Station. Jeff's career began at the University of Michigan, where, from July 1980 to July 1989, Jeff held the position of Lead Reactor Operator at the Ford Nuclear Reactor. Jeff also served in the US Navy from 1976 to 1980 as a First Class Interior Communications Electrician on a Fleet Ballistic Missile Nuclear Submarine, focusing on nuclear propulsion instrumentation and electrical equipment. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Digital Communications & Signal Processing from the University of Michigan and completed Nuclear Power School in the US Navy.
