Gary Shapiro is the President and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association, a position held since 1991. In addition to this role, Gary Shapiro served as a member of the Board of Visitors at George Mason University from 2002 to 2006. Gary Shapiro earned a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center between 1977 and 1980 and completed undergraduate studies at Binghamton University from 1974 to 1977.
