Jennifer Shecter has a diverse work background, mainly in communications and outreach roles. Jennifer worked at Consumer Reports for a significant portion of their career. Their most recent position was as the Senior Director of Content Impact & Corporate Outreach, where they played a crucial role in communicating potential safety hazards and performance problems with manufacturers and government agencies. Jennifer also oversaw direct outreach and communications with various stakeholders, including manufacturers, partners, funders, government agencies, and policymakers. Before that, they served as the Director of External Relations at Consumer Reports. Prior to their time at Consumer Reports, Jennifer worked at the Center for Responsive Politics as a Researcher, writing investigative newsletters and serving as a spokesperson for the organization in the national media.
Jennifer Shecter obtained their Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Vassar College, where they studied from 1992 to 1995.
