Khalid Al-hassan has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. Khalid currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Prior to this role, they worked as a Cybersecurity Program Manager at the USDA and gained experience in project management and cyber security at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Khalid has also worked as a Patent Examiner/Engineer at USPTO and as a Network Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation. Khalid started their career as an IT intern at the U.S. Department of Justice and gained tutoring experience in mathematics at Northern Virginia Community College. Additionally, Khalid participated in the CXO Fellows Program, a professional development program for aspiring federal leaders, where they focused on IT leadership.

Khalid Al-hassan has a diverse education history spanning multiple institutions and degree programs. In 2010, they began their education at Northern Virginia Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Science degree in Mathematics until 2012. Following this, Khalid Al-hassan attended the University of Virginia from 2012 to 2015 and earned a Certificate in Information Technology, focusing on the field of Information Technology. Simultaneously, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering at the same university.

In 2017, Khalid Al-hassan furthered their education by enrolling in George Mason University. Khalid completed a Master of Science degree in Telecommunications from 2017 to 2019, specializing in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications.
