Adriaan (Dirk) de Hoop is an experienced construction professional currently serving as a Construction Inspector for the County of San Diego since May 2017, where responsibilities include providing inspections for public access projects, ensuring public safety, and compliance with Water Pollution Control standards. Prior roles include serving as an ICC Special Inspector at CTE Cal, Inc. since February 2005, and working as a Soils Technician and ACI Technician with Petra Geotechnical from May 2001 to February 2005. Earlier experience includes labor and framing work with Jerry Knighten Construction and roles as a Deck Hand and fish processor at UniSea, Inc. Adriaan holds multiple qualifications including an ICC Commercial Building Inspector certification from the Advanced Contractor & Inspector Training Institute and training in ICC Soils/Structural Masonry from Wilrick Institute Technology. Educational background includes attendance at Shasta College and completion of a high school diploma from Oroville High School.
