Osman Ahmed, ASA, MAAA has a wealth of experience in the actuarial field. Osman currently serves as the Director of Actuarial and Analytics at Consortium Health Plans, a position they have held since March 2018. Before that, Osman worked as an Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Mathematics at Joliet Junior College from February 2019 to May 2022. Prior to their teaching role, they were the Manager of Actuarial Services at Centene Corporation from October 2014 to March 2018. Osman also has experience as an Associate Actuary in the Health & Benefits division at Mercer from May 2012 to October 2014, and as a Senior Associate Actuary at Fidelity Investments from January 2011 to March 2012. Their actuarial career began as an Actuarial Analyst in the Health & Benefits department at Mercer in January 2006, where they worked until January 2011.

Osman Ahmed, ASA, MAAA has a strong education background in Actuarial Science and Economics. Osman obtained a Master of Science degree in Actuarial Science from the Wisconsin School of Business in 2005. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2004.

Osman's undergraduate studies were also focused on Economics, as they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2003.

Before pursuing higher education, Osman completed their high school education at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in 1999, earning a High School Diploma. Osman had previously attended Victor J. Andrew High School in 1995-1996.
