Diving Engineer at CONSOR Engineers

Travis Becker has a diverse work experience, starting in 2003 as an Engineering Assistant at AMTI, where they contributed to the development of remote IED and UXO disposal methods. Travis then joined the US Navy EOD Mobile Unit 5 in 2006 as a Basic EOD Technician, conducting inventory, cataloging, and processing of recovered IED components in Iraq. In 2008, they became a Senior EOD Technician, training and mentoring Armed Forces of the Philippines EOD technicians.

From 2010 to 2012, Travis served as a Senior EOD Technician in the US Navy EOD Mobile Unit 2, exchanging best practices with the Colombian Marine Corps EOD and Special Forces, and instructing and mentoring Tanzanian Peoples Defense Force, Kenya Police Bomb Squad, and Japanese Security Forces.

In 2013, Travis worked as an EOD/IEDD Instructor/Mentor at RONCO Consulting Corporation and later at G4S as a Senior IEDD/EOD Instructor/Mentor. Travis provided explosive device mitigation guidance to Afghan National Security Forces through training, coaching, and mentoring.

Travis joined Aqua Dive Services in 2014 as a Commercial Diver, leading diving teams in various underwater projects and managing the company's maintenance program. Travis then joined CONSOR Engineers in 2016 as a Diving Engineer, supervising and leading inspection teams for structural assessment of infrastructure assets for various organizations.

Overall, Travis Becker has gained extensive experience in diving, underwater projects, explosive device mitigation, and mentoring and instruction in their career.

Travis Becker's education history begins in 1997 when they attended Old Dominion University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Travis completed their degree in 2003.

In 2005, Travis attended the US Naval School, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, where they obtained a Basic EOD Technician qualification. During the same year, they also attended the US Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center, where they received a certification in Explosive Ordnance Disposal Diving and Undersea Operations.

In 2011, Travis attended the US Humanitarian Demining Training Center, where they obtained a qualification in Humanitarian De-Mining and Train-the-Trainer. This certification focused on Conventional Weapons Clearance and Training methodologies.

Additionally, in January 2018, Travis received certification as a Civil Engineer in Training from the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation.
