Tilak Sumir Kumar started their work experience in 2019 as a Student Intern at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. In 2020, they joined CONSOR Engineers as an Engineer In Training, and later transitioned to the role of Project Engineer, which they currently hold.

Tilak Sumir Kumar completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University from 2014 to 2018. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Transportation Engineering from Texas A&M University, which they completed from 2018 to 2019.
