Scott Failmezger has a diverse work experience in engineering and umpiring. Scott worked as an Engineer VI at CONSOR Engineers from January 2018 onwards. In 2021, they served as an Umpire for the Portland Softball Umpires Association, Inc. for a brief period from April to May. Scott also worked as an Umpire for NAFA Softball in July and August 2020. Scott'slongest tenure was at the Oregon Department of Transportation, where they worked from August 1984 to November 2017 as an Associate Engineer 2. During this time, they were responsible for designing and drafting various projects and collaborated with multiple teams and agencies. Scott also worked as an Umpire for Clackamas County Sports Officials from April 1992 to August 2013 and for the OSAA from January 1992 to June 2013. Additionally, they had temporary roles at the Oregon Department of Transportation in construction survey and inspection in 1983, as well as on the traffic line crew in 1980.
Scott Failmezger attended North Clackamas Christian School from 1974 to 1978. Scott then enrolled at Mt. Hood Community College from 1978 to 1981, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Forestry. Continuing their education at Mt. Hood Community College, Scott completed another Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering from 1982 to 1984.
