Tony Boser

VP, Mission Engineering at Consolidated Nuclear Security

Tony Boser is the vice president of Mission Engineering for Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC, which is responsible for management and operation of the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas, and the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. In this role, he oversees more than 1,400 engineers, scientists, and contracted staff.

This multi-disciplined organization ensures high-quality and continued safe nuclear production and site operations through development and management of the authorization basis, production procedures, mission-critical systems, special tooling/testers, and technical supplier quality interfaces.

Responsibilities also include design engineering services for site-wide improvement projects, the design authority role for all capital projects to include the Uranium Processing Facility, and management of the interface to the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board. Additionally, Mission Engineering encompasses the CNS Development organization, with responsibility for the Pantex and Y-12 research and development portfolio, as well as special production support.

Boser has more than 25 years of experience leading large engineering organizations across multiple disciplines while enabling safe continuous nuclear operations. He most recently served as the deputy vice president of Mission Engineering, responsible for the leadership of all facets of the CNS Mission Engineering organization and associated technical functions at Pantex and Y-12. He has been in a design authority role for nuclear operations at Y-12, supported infrastructure modernization at both sites, and has maintained strong relationships with external stakeholders.

Prior to joining CNS, he served as a project/design engineer at Nissan North America and was responsible for all aspects of vehicle electrical systems and maintained manufacturing and product quality encompassing process development, program management, part quality, root cause analysis, and event recovery.

Boser has a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering from Tennessee Technological University.
