In 2013, Velda joined ConSol Partners as a Lead Technical Recruiter, focusing on Big Data and Communications. Velda had a successful tenure at ConSol Partners, building strong client relationships and providing recruitment solutions. In 2015, Velda joined Verizon as a Lead Technical Recruiter, where they contributed to the company's innovation in the digital world.

Velda Walker earned a Master's Degree in Clinical/Medical Social Work from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, from 1999 to 2001.
