Cynthia Fernandez is an experienced communications and grant management professional with a diverse background in nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as Grant Coordinator at Conservation Florida since July 2015, Cynthia has previously held roles such as Communications and Philanthropy Associate at the same organization, Communications Specialist at The Poynter Institute, and worked in production art and social media communications at Paradigm Learning. Cynthia began their career as a Program Associate at Whidbey Camano Land Trust, where significant contributions included transitioning the organization from volunteer-led to staff-managed operations. Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and Journalism from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg and an Associate of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from St. Petersburg College.
