Didier Le Floch has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Starting in 1999 as an intern at CCF (now HSBC France), they later worked as a Java Developer at Teamlog and Société Générale. Didier then moved to BNP Paribas, where they held several roles, including Senior Energy Structured Trader and Head of Commodity Derivatives Quantitative Research. In 2013, they joined E&C Risk Management Ltd, HSBC as a Director, Energy Derivatives Risk Management Consultant.
Le Floch then moved on to HSBC, where they worked as the Global Head of Commodities Structuring and later as the Director of Energy Structured Origination. Their responsibilities included structuring and origination of energy deals, liaising with management for approvals, and setting up new activities and frameworks.
In 2017, Le Floch co-founded Trade Quorum, where they served as the Co-Founder and CTO. The platform offered a decentralized solution for secure international trade execution, reducing costs, fraud, and increasing trust between market participants.
Since 2018, Le Floch has been working as the Codefi CTO at ConsenSys, a technology company focused on blockchain and decentralized finance.
Throughout their career, Le Floch has demonstrated expertise in areas such as risk management, structured trading, quantitative analysis, and technology development.
Didier Le Floch obtained a Post-graduate Master's degree in Engineering from Mines ParisTech ("Ecole des Mines de Paris") from 1997 to 2000. Didier also completed preparatory classes for French engineering schools at Lycee Champollion in Grenoble, France from 1994 to 1997, where they studied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. In addition, they obtained a certification as an FCA Approved Person from the Financial Conduct Authority in August 2011.
