Martin Turon

Martin Turon has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Martin started their career in technology with a role as Director of Technology at UFO Interactive in 1995. Martin then held the position of Director of Engineering at NewDeal from 1997 to 2001. After that, they worked as a Sr. Systems Software Engineer at Transmeta from 2001 to 2002, and as a Sr. Software Engineer at Activision from 2002 to 2004.

In 2004, Turon joined Moog Crossbow as the Director of Platform Software, where they stayed until 2014. During this time, they also served as Chair of the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) Committee at ZigBee Alliance from 2005 to 2007, and Chair of the Low Power Router (LPR) Committee from 2007 to 2010.

From 2014 to 2020, Turon was involved in various roles related to engineering and software architecture. Martin served as the Founding Chair of Engineering at Thread Group, a Sr. Software Architect for Low Power Wireless at Google Nest, and held leadership roles at Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), including the position of Matter | Lead, Platform Software Team.

Furthermore, Turon had significant involvement within the Bluetooth SIG organization. Martin represented Google as a Board Director from 2017 to 2019 and served as Vice-Chair of the Internet Working Group from 2016 to 2017.
