Alan Ng has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Alan currently serves as the Technical & Insights Director at Connective3 since October 2019. Prior to that, Alan was the Associate Director of Digital Analytics at Edit from August 2018 to July 2019. Alan also worked at Branded3 as the Head of Insights from July 2013 to August 2018, where they focused on delivering web analytics solutions and enforcing data-driven campaigns. Alan has a background in SEO, having worked as an SEO Data Insights specialist and SEO Link Analyst at Branded3 from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, they have entrepreneurial experience as the Creator and Founder of TypeAccord, a prominent Honda Accord Owners club in the UK, where they were responsible for website development, content creation, and graphics. Alan began their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Nottingham from 1999 to 2005.

Alan Ng completed their education at the University of Nottingham, where they obtained a PhD in Applied Optics from 1999 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed an MEng in Electrical Electronic Engineering from 1995 to 1999, also at the University of Nottingham.
