Shannon Mykins is the Director of Development and Communications since early 2023, where she is proud to connect people and organizations to the incredible work of the CVLC. Shannon began her career as an AmeriCorps VISTA member with the Department of Health and Human Services in the state of Montana before arriving in New Haven, CT in 2011. Over the past decade, she has worked with the Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut, Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven, and International Festival of Arts & Ideas and has dedicated her life to meaningful community impact and social change. Shannon is a graduate of Thomas Nelson Community College (Hampton, VA) and the College of William & Mary (Williamsburg, VA). She lives in New Haven with her dog, Levon, and child.
