Mark Viavattine has a diverse work experience in the music education and performance industry. Mark started their career as a Freelance Musician in 2007 and has been actively involved in music ever since. Mark has worked as a Performing Artist for companies such as Conn-Selmer, Inc. and D'Addario & Company, Inc., showcasing their skills and talent. Mark also has teaching experience, serving as an Instrumental Music Teacher in the Port Washington School District and as a Woodwinds Instructor for the Community Arts Program. Mark has further expanded their teaching career as a Substitute Teacher for Miami-Dade County Public Schools and as a Long Term Substitute Band Director for Brockport Central School District. Currently, they are an Adjunct Professor at LIU Post, utilizing their expertise to educate students in music. Mark's dedication and passion for music are evident in their extensive work experience.
Mark Viavattine completed their education in the field of music. Mark obtained a Master of Music (M.M) in Jazz Saxophone Performance from the University of Miami from 2014-2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Saxophone Performance/ Music Education from the Eastman School of Music, where they studied from 2009-2013.
In addition to their degrees, Mark Viavattine also holds K-12 Music certifications from the State of Florida, which they obtained in September 2015, and from the New York Department of Education, which they acquired in January 2014.
