Elise Lapaix (Goldstein or Breall)

Project Archivist And Research Services at Congregation Beth Sholom

Elise LaPaix (Goldstein or Breall), MA, currently serves as a Project Archivist and Research Services at Congregation Beth Sholom since February 2023. Previous experience includes roles as a Sales Specialist at Gump's, where involvement in a retail experiment for a Holiday Pop-Up shop took place, as well as holiday retail sales at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Elise was a Collections Manager at Weitz Medical Management and briefly held a Holiday Sales position at Bloomingdales. Contributions as an art historian include participation in the publication "Ellen Stewart Presents: Fifty Years of La Mama Experimental Theatre." Additionally, experience as Director of Philanthropy and Exhibitions consultant for Black Swan Arts & Media was gained, where focus was on arts education in underserved communities. Education encompasses a Master's degree in History of Art from the University of California, Berkeley, and a cum laude Bachelor's degree in Government from Cornell University, along with studies at various institutions in International Relations, History of Art, and German language.
