Shanna Zell is an accomplished Assistant Cantor at Temple Beth Elohim since July 2017, also serving as a Student Cantor since September 2013 at Congregation Beth Elohim. As a singer/songwriter, Shanna Zell manages all aspects of a solo music career, including bookings, tours, and album production, with a new EP currently in progress. Shanna's background includes significant experience in the independent music industry, having worked as a Client Advisor at Oasis Disc Manufacturing, where revenue grew dramatically under management from $0 to over $180,000 per month, and as an Assistant Product Specialist at Disc Makers. Notable early career roles include assistant programming at the 92nd Street Y and administrative support throughout various projects. Education includes a B.A. in European Cultural Studies and English & American Literature from Brandeis University, along with cantorial training at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.
