Mahdi Sharif, Ph.D., is an accomplished Sr. Product Manager and co-founder at Glove Systems Inc., overseeing the full lifecycle of product development for cloud-based software that enhances construction project efficiency using AI and 3D data visualization. Currently serving as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Waterloo with a Mitacs award, Mahdi focuses on AI and computer vision applications for processing 3D unstructured data. Previous roles include leading research initiatives as a graduate researcher at the Industrial Sensing Lab and developing a highly accurate object recognition method during master's studies. Mahdi's extensive academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Vision in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Construction Management, alongside practical experience in structural design and project management in the civil engineering sector.
