Andreas Busch is a Senior Scientist specializing in Protein Science at Confo Therapeutics since October 2017. Prior to this role, Andreas Busch served as a Scientist in Structural Biology at the Institute of Structural & Molecular Biology from January 2010 to August 2017, focusing on the biochemistry and structural biology of membrane proteins related to bacterial pathogenesis, including upstream and downstream process development. An Honorary EMBO and Marie Curie Long Term Research Fellow, Andreas Busch managed independent projects on bacterial biofilm formation. Earlier experience includes work as a PhD student and PostDoc at EEZ-CSIC, where research involved characterizing a sensor histidine kinase and directed evolution for biosensor design. Educational credentials include a Doctor degree in Biochemistry from Universidad de Granada, a Diplom in Microbiology from The University of Freiburg, and a Vordiplom in Biology from the University of Tübingen.
