Roy Taylor has held a variety of positions in the medical device industry since 2003. In 2003, they were an Engineering Co-op at Centerpulse in Austin, TX. From 2005 to 2013, they were a Project Engineer and Product Development Engineer at Amedica Corporation. In 2013, they became a Product Engineer at BLOXR. Since 2014, they have been at CoNextions Medical, where they have held the roles of VP R&D, Director of R&D, and R&D Engineer. As Director of R&D, their responsibilities included project management, directing R&D engineering activities, and organizing and maintaining in house cadaver lab capabilities. As R&D Engineer, they designed and developed implants and instruments using SolidWorks CAD software, designed and assembled test fixtures, and performed prototype testing and documented results. As Product Engineer at BLOXR, they supported new product design and development, organized and followed project schedules, and created technical drawings using SolidWorks CAD software. As Project Engineer at Amedica Corporation, they designed and developed implants and instruments using SolidWorks CAD software, wrote product test protocols, and created documentation required for Design Theirtory Files.
Roy Taylor attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
