Andrew Pawelka is an experienced operations and quality assurance professional with a strong background in the food industry. Currently serving as Operations Manager and Quality Assurance Manager at Conestoga Meats since March 2020, Andrew has previously held roles such as QA Manager at Weston Foods and Food Safety/Quality Assurance Team Leader at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Notably, Andrew spearheaded project management efforts to implement automated solutions in a transformation to paperless documentation across 21 manufacturing facilities. With academic credentials including a Master of Science in Pharmacology and Physiology from McMaster University and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Guelph, Andrew has also contributed to research in gastrointestinal motility and has experience in food safety testing at Parmalat Canada.
