Cecilia Smith has a diverse work experience in the cheese industry. Cecilia started their career in 2011 as a professional fromager, offering services such as cheese tastings, retail and restaurant consulting, and creating wedding cheese cakes. From 2012 to 2020, they worked at The Passionate Cook's Essentials, where they were responsible for ordering and maintaining the cheese counter, supplied cheese orders nationally, and taught cooking classes incorporating cheese and various cuisines. Cecilia also worked as a fromager at Montforte Dairy from 2012 to 2013. In 2014, they became a teacher at George Brown College and Conestoga College in 2020. Additionally, they briefly worked as a cheese buyer at Seed to Sausage from 2018 to 2019.
Cecilia Smith has a diverse education history. In 1977 to 1980, they attended Hiilingdon Hospital School of Nursing, where they earned a degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. From 1980 to 1982, they pursued a Higher National diploma in Business Administration and Management, General at Birmingham Polytechnic. In 2007, Cecilia graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Later, from 2010 to 2012, they obtained a Certificate in Professional Fromager Certificate from George Brown College. Additionally, in 2014, they completed a Certified Cheese Professional degree from the American Cheese Society. Cecilia also has a recent certification as a Certified Cheese Sensory Evaluator from the American Cheese Society in 2018.
