Hector Cardenas has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Hector started their career in 2007 with Linamar as a Process Engineer Co-op, where they gained valuable experience until 2007. Hector then went on to work at General Motors as a Process Engineer Co-op for four months in 2008. In 2009, they joined Toyota as a Process Engineer Co-op for four months before joining Kroll Computer Systems as a Software Developer Co-op for three months. In 2011, Hector became the CEO of Conekta, where they have been leading the company for over a decade. Most recently, in 2021, they assumed the role of President at Asamep. Hector's work experience highlights their versatility and ability to take on leadership roles.
Hector Cardenas pursued their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo from 2006 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2018, they became an Endeavor Entrepreneur through the Endeavor organization. Following this, in 2019, they completed the Endeavor - Scaling Entrepreneurial Ventures program from Harvard Business School. Hector'slatest certification, the Endeavor Innovation & Growth Program, was obtained from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in August 2022.
