Luis Vargas is an accomplished entrepreneur and leader with extensive experience in the travel industry. As the Founder and CEO of Modern Adventure since 2018, Luis has focused on creating immersive travel experiences that promote global good. In addition to this role, Luis serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for TEDxPortland, advocating for innovative ideas. Active in various organizations, Luis is a Chapter Officer and member of YPO, holds a position as a Top Travel Specialist for Condé Nast Traveller, and is a partner at CEO Coaching International. Luis has contributed to several boards, including WorldOregon, El Camino Travel, Classic Wines Foundation, TCS World Travel, and the Adventure Travel Trade Association. Educational credentials include a General Management degree from UCLA Anderson School of Management, a Certified Sommelier designation from The Court of Master Sommeliers, and a degree from San Diego State University.
